# Host your first live quiz

> Open the host screen, add a few questions, and leave the game code on screen. Players join on their phones, and you start when everyone’s in.

You don’t need an account to host, and players don’t need one to play.

## 1. Open the host screen

On [quizzy.earth](https://quizzy.earth/), tap **Host a game**. A new game opens with its own game code and QR code.

## 2. Start adding questions

Tap **Questions** in the panel above **Start game**, then **Add questions**.

## 3. Choose how to add questions

Pick **Write your own**, or **From a category** for ready-made ones. **Generate with AI** and **Generate from YouTube** need Host Pro or an Event Pass.

## 4. Write a question

Type it in **Your Question**, fill in the options, and tap the correct one.

## 5. Add it to the quiz

Tap **Add Question**. Repeat for each question, then tap **Done**.

## 6. Let players join

Leave the game code and QR code on screen. Players scan the QR code, or type the code at quizzy.earth. See [How players join](https://quizzy.earth/help/how-players-join).

## 7. Start the game

When everyone’s in, tap **Start game**.

> **Tip:** No questions yet? You can still tap **Start game**. Players write the questions on their phones first.

> **Player limit** (Host Pro or Event Pass): Up to 10 players on the free plan and 50 on Host Pro. An Event Pass removes the limit for 4 days. Anyone over the limit sees **Game Full**. [Compare plans](https://quizzy.earth/pricing).

## Questions

### Can players join after the game starts?

Yes, in a **Classic** game. A **Knockout** game locks its player list at the start, so latecomers watch instead.

### How do I use the same quiz again?

Sign in, open **Questions** and tap **Save this quiz to reuse later**. Next time, pick it from **Saved quizzes** there.
