# Remove a player from your game

> In the lobby, tap a player on a phone, or click the ✕ on their card on a computer. Their score goes with them, and they can’t rejoin from that browser.

Removing works on every plan, on a phone or a computer.

## 1. Remove them in the lobby

In the lobby, tap a player (on a phone) or click the ✕ on their card (on a computer). On a phone, confirm with **Remove from game**.

## While players write questions or answer them

If players are writing questions on their phones, tap the ✕ on their name. During a question, a red **Reported content** button appears when someone reports a name or a question. Open it and tap **Remove player**.

## What happens to them

Their phone shows **Removed** with a **Back to Home** button. Their score, answers and any questions they wrote are deleted, so they leave the leaderboard and the results. If they try to join again from the same browser, they see **You can’t rejoin this game**.

> **Warning:** Removing someone blocks them from this game on that browser. From another browser or device they could still try, so turn on **Approve players to join** in [Game settings](https://quizzy.earth/help/game-settings) to check everyone who joins.

## Questions

### Can I remove someone on the leaderboard or after the game?

No. Once the answer is shown or the game has ended, players can’t be removed.

### Does the player get a warning first?

No. On a computer they’re removed as soon as you click; on a phone, as soon as you confirm.
