Terms of Service

By accessing or using Quizzy.earth (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Quizzy.earth lets you create quizzes and host live, multiplayer quiz games. Hosting and joining games require no account by default. Optional features — claiming a quiz, Quizzy Pro, and content integrations — are described below.

• Anonymous hosts are identified by a temporary identifier stored in the browser. You may optionally "claim" a quiz by verifying an email address to associate it with you across sessions.
• You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your host identifier or claimed account, and for keeping your access secure.
• The Service is designed to work in classroom settings. If you use it with minors, you are responsible for supervising that use and for compliance with applicable rules at your institution.

You retain ownership of the quizzes and other content you create ("Your Content"). You grant Quizzy a limited license to store, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service — for example, to deliver questions to players during a game. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to use it and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate any law.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service to violate the privacy or rights of others, or to collect personal information from players beyond a display name.
• Resell or misrepresent the Service as your own.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in a Quizzy game. This applies to everything a player can put in front of other people: their display name, the questions and answers they submit, and how they behave towards other players.

• Every player-submitted name, question, option, and answer is filtered automatically. Filtering cannot be turned off — not by the host, and not by a setting.
• Any player can report content or another player from their own device. Reported content is hidden from everyone in the room immediately, before anyone reviews it.
• Users who post objectionable content are removed from the game by the host and barred from rejoining it.
• We review every report and act on it within 24 hours. Acting on a report may include removing content and barring the user who provided it.
• To report abuse, or to appeal a removal, write to abuse@quizzy.earth.

Using the Service means you agree to these terms and to this zero tolerance policy.

Quizzy Pro is an optional paid subscription processed by Stripe. Fees, billing cycle, and included features are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Payment data is handled by Stripe under Stripe's terms.

Quizzy can publish quiz videos to third-party platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. These publishing features are used only by the Quizzy operator to post to Quizzy's own channels — they are not available to players or quiz hosts and never access a viewer's, player's, or host's third-party account. Use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms, including the TikTok Terms of Service and YouTube Terms of Service.

The Service — including its software, design, and branding, but excluding Your Content — is owned by Quizzy and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or to copy or modify the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quizzy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. On termination, the license you grant us to operate on Your Content ends, except for copies retained as required by law or described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on the homepage or via email to Pro subscribers. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision; continued use after changes means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any non-waivable rights under your local law.
