The story

How Quizzy started

Quizzy began in December 2025 as homework help. Rahul Devaskar’s young son was preparing for NAPLAN, Australia’s national school tests, and found the worksheets a chore. The two made a deal: Rahul would turn the homework into a quiz game, and his son would say what made it fun.

Every quiz tool they tried started with sign-ups and tutorials, and lost him by the second step. So Quizzy has none: open the page, type a question, press play.

Then, at a family dinner, his son hosted a quiz he had written about his soft toys, and four adults argued over a teddy bear’s name like it was pub trivia. Quizzy stopped being a homework tool that night. It became a way to get a room of people, kids and adults, laughing at the same screen.
