Edit, duplicate or retire a saved quiz

In Saved Quizzes, tap a quiz’s pencil to edit its questions. Once people have played its link, duplicate it and edit the copy instead.

Updated October 15th, 2026

Edit a quiz’s questions

  1. 1

    Open the quiz

Sign in and go to Saved Quizzes at quizzy.earth/templates. Tap the pencil (Edit quiz) on the quiz’s card.

  2. 2

    Make your changes

Tap a question to open it, then change the wording, options or image. Tick Correct next to every right answer. Two or more makes it a multi-answer question.

  3. 3

    Save your changes

Tap Save changes in the bar at the bottom.

These questions can’t change now means someone has started the quiz from its self-paced link, so its questions are locked. Tap Duplicate and edit to change a copy instead. The original and its results stay as they are. Games you host live don’t lock a quiz.

Duplicate a quiz

  1. 1

    Make a copy

On the quiz’s card, tap the copy icon (Duplicate). If nobody has played its link, the copy appears straight away.

  2. 2

Choose where the old link goes

If people have played its link, pick Yes, send them to my copy to retire the old link, or No, keep the old link on the original. Then tap Duplicate. Players’ results stay with the original either way.

  3. 3

Stop sending people to the copy

On the original quiz’s card, tap Stop next to the link. The old link opens the original quiz again.

PRO

A copy needs a free space. The free plan saves up to 10 quizzes, and Host Pro and an Event Pass up to 50. Delete a quiz to make room, or compare plans.

Why does my quiz say it’s edited in the lobby?

Surveys, tournaments, predictors and reading quizzes keep their own editor. Tap Open in lobby to change their questions there.

Can I add new questions while editing?

Yes. Tap Add questions below the list. New ones join the end.
