Add students and save a class
Add up to 60 students by hand or from a spreadsheet, then save the class to reuse its roster and cards.
Updated October 16th, 2026
Open Classroom Mode on the projector computer, or on any computer you plan with. A class holds up to 60 students.
Add students by hand
Click Add students, then Add manually. Type a student’s Name (a first name and initial is enough) and click Add student. Repeat for each student, then click Done.
Or upload your register
Click Add students, then Upload a file, and choose a CSV, Excel (.xlsx) or plain text file with one student per line. You can also paste the names straight from your register. Check the preview, then click the button that adds them, such as “Add 28 students”. Names already in the class are skipped, and the preview says so.
Keep card numbers
Each student gets their own card number, printed on the back of their card with their name. In a saved class the number stays with the student, so you print their card once and reuse it. Quizzy never gives the same number to students in two of your saved classes, so a card can’t be read as someone in another class. If you remove a student, their card stops scanning.
Group students (optional)
To put students in groups, give each one a group as you add them: there’s an optional group field under Add manually, with an optional color, and in a file the group goes after the name. Once a student has a group, Call groups appears: type the word your school uses, such as House, Team or Faction. Each student’s group is listed next to their answers in the class report.
Save the class
Click Save & reuse, type a Class name such as 8B, and click Save. You need to sign in to save, and you can keep up to 6 classes. The class keeps its students, their card numbers and groups, and the card size. After you change it, the same button reads Save changes.
Use it next lesson
Next time, click Saved classes and click Load next to the class. You can build and save a class on one computer, then load it on the projector computer.
