Change the order of your questions

Turn off Shuffle questions, then drag each question by its handle in Review Questions. The game plays them in the order you set.

Updated October 17th, 2026

Quizzy shuffles your questions each game to start with. To play them in your own order, turn that off first.

  1. 1

    Turn off Shuffle questions

In the lobby, tap Settings above Start game and switch off Shuffle questions. While it’s on, your question list says they play in random order and has no handles.

  2. 2

    Open your questions

In the lobby, tap the button that counts your questions, such as “5 questions ready”. Review Questions opens.

  3. 3

Drag a question to its new place

Hold the handle at the start of a question and drag it up or down. The numbers update as you go, and the game plays the questions in this order. This works on phones too.

Reorder while you write questions

On a computer with a wide screen, open Write your own and tap Wide editor beside the ✕. The In this quiz column lists every question, and you can drag them by their handles there too.

In a saved quiz, reorder in the same column, then tap Save. If that quiz shuffles its questions, the column says so and has no handles. Turn off Shuffle questions in the lobby when you host it, and reorder there.

A classroom lesson always plays its questions in the order listed, so there’s nothing to turn off.

Survey, tournament, predictor and reading quizzes keep a fixed order, because each answer is matched to its question’s place. Their list says Order is fixed for this quiz type.

Can I reorder with the keyboard?

Yes. Tab to a question’s handle and press the up or down arrow key. Screen readers announce its new place.

Will my order be kept next time?

Yes, if you save the quiz. It keeps your order and keeps Shuffle questions off.

Why do players see the answer options in a different order?

Shuffle answers is on, so each player gets the options in their own order. Turn it off in Game settings and everyone sees them in the order you wrote.
