Print answer cards for a class

Pick a card size, print double-sided at 100%, and give each student the same card every lesson.

Updated October 16th, 2026

Add your students in Classroom Mode first. Each student gets their own card, so the cards are printed from the class list.

  1. 1

    Choose a card size

Under Card size, pick Classroom (6 cards per page, read from up to about 4 m) or Large room (2 cards per page, read from up to about 7 m).

  2. 2

    Print the cards

Click Print cards. If you’re signed in and the class has unsaved changes, the button reads Save & print cards: it saves the class first, then prints. In the print dialog, print on both sides, flip on the long edge, and print at 100%, with no “fit to page”. A card printed smaller won’t scan from the back of the room.

  3. 3

    Cut and keep the border

Cut along the dashed lines. Keep the white border around each black square: the camera needs it. Hold one card up to the light to check that each letter on the back sits on its twin on the front.

  4. 4

    Give each student their card

The back of each card shows the student’s name and card number. Hand the cards out by name, and give each student the same card every lesson. When you save a class, each student keeps their card number.

Card stock lasts longest; plain paper works but curls. If you laminate, use a matte finish. Glossy laminate reflects the classroom lights into the camera, and a shiny card can’t be read.
