Timer and auto-advance

The timer starts at 30 seconds. Every plan gets 20 and 30 seconds.

Longer timers and No timer

PRO

60, 90 and 120 seconds and No timer (host-paced) need Host Pro or an Event Pass. Compare plans.

Auto-advance moves on by itself when time’s up, after showing the answer for 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds. It can’t be on with No timer (host-paced).

Scoring and order

Show scores shows the leaderboard between questions.

Hiding scores

PRO

Hiding scores needs Host Pro or an Event Pass. Anyone can turn them back on. Compare plans.

Shuffle questions plays your questions in a random order each game. It’s on to start with.

Shuffle answers gives each player the options in their own order. It’s off to start with.

Questions per play serves a different random set each game.

Survey mode turns the quiz into a poll with no right answers, so scores and auto-advance stay off.

Players and access

Approve players to join makes each new player wait until you tap Approve or Reject, or Approve all.

Players can add questions lets players send in questions from their phones before the game starts.

Offline mode runs the quiz on one screen, such as a projector, with no phones. You move each question on yourself.

Settings lock once the game starts, so pick everything in the lobby.

Why is a switch greyed out with a note under it?

Survey mode or offline mode overrides it. Turn that off and the switch works again.

Will my settings be the same next time?

Yes. Each change becomes your default for your next game. A saved quiz brings the settings it was saved with.
