Run a lesson with printed cards

Open Classroom Mode on the projector, pair your phone as the camera, add students and questions, then scan the room each question.

Updated October 16th, 2026

You need the computer connected to the projector, your phone, and your students’ printed cards (print answer cards).

  1. 1

    Open it on the projector

On the projector computer, go to quizzy.earth/study/classroom. Under This device is, choose Display. No sign-in is needed.

  2. 2

    Join with your phone

Scan the QR code under Camera access with your phone. Or open the same page on your phone, choose Camera, and type the six letters shown on the screen. The phone joins as soon as the sixth letter is in.

  3. 3

    Add your students

On the projector computer, click Add students, then Add manually to type names one at a time, or Upload a file to bring in a CSV, Excel or text list from your register. You’ll see a preview before anything is added. To use the same list next lesson, save a class.

  4. 4

    Add questions

Pick a quiz from Saved quizzes, or click Add questions to write or import new ones. Cards can only answer single-answer multiple-choice questions with up to four options. Any others are skipped, and the screen says how many.

  5. 5

    Start the quiz

Click Start the quiz. After a short countdown, the first question appears on the projector.

  6. 6

    Scan the room

Students hold up their cards with their answer at the top. Sweep your phone slowly across the room, holding on each card until it’s captured. The phone counts how many cards it has. When you have them all, tap Done.

  7. 7

    Reveal and move on

The correct answer shows on the projector. If you added an explanation, tap Show explanation on your phone. Then tap Next question.

  8. 8

    See results

After the last question, tap See results. The projector shows “Lesson complete”, with no scores on the wall. You can email each student’s answers to yourself in the next step: see class reports.

  9. 9

    Email me the report

On your phone, tap Email me the report. Enter your email address and tap Send report. The report arrives as a CSV file with each student’s answer to each question.

You can also run the lesson from the projector computer’s keyboard: Space closes the question, and → moves to the next one.
