Keep your screen on during a game
Tap the sun at the top of your screen to stop your phone locking while you play. If you don’t see it, your phone or browser can’t keep the screen on.

Phones lock themselves after a short while. If yours locks during a game, you can miss a question. Once you’ve joined, you can stop it locking until you leave the game.
Turn it on
After you join, tap the sun at the top of your screen. On a phone, read what it does and tap Keep screen on. On a computer, click the sun. It turns on straight away.
Turn it off
Tap the sun again. Your screen locks as usual again.
Why don’t I see the sun when my friend does?
Not every phone or browser can keep the screen on. If yours can’t, the sun doesn’t show. Updating your phone, or opening the game in Safari or Chrome instead of an app’s built-in browser, often brings it back.
I don’t see the sun at all. Where is it?
It shows once you’ve joined a game, not on the screen where you type the game code.
What can I do if my phone can’t keep the screen on?
Make your phone wait longer before it locks, in its display or screen settings. Or tap the screen now and then between questions.
I turned it on, but my screen still turned off. Why?
Battery saver or low power mode can turn the screen off anyway. Switching to another app or tab also lets it lock. Come back to the game and it stays on again.
